// The Book //
The hard cover books - 12 in total - were each made with an individually hand crafted and illustrated wooden slip. I made these books for my family, to tell our family’s story. I used photos we had scattered around our houses. The 170 page book also has a fold out (A1 size) illustrated family tree. The book was inspired by my Granny, Noel Parsons, who is very creative and crafty. In homage to Granny, I included a small selection of her quilts, dolls and crafts. Further, most of the materials, lace and ribbon were all from her collection.
A huge thanks to all who helped; it was a mammoth task. But a task that was extremely rewarding and satisfying.
